· What type of training do your instructors go through? How experienced are they?
o Our instructors undergo 20 hours of classroom and 25 hours of behind the wheel training by a Master Instructor. They are put behind the wheel until we are confident that they have mastered all aspects of teaching. An additional 45 hours of training is required for all classroom instructors. Training is an ongoing process and is taken seriously at All-Star Driver. Our instructors are up to date on all the current laws and practices. Our instructors have combined their passion for driving with their love of kids and pride themselves on training the next generation of safe drivers.
· My teen is going to be alone in the car with your instructor. Why should I trust your company to ensure my child’s safety?
o All of our instructors are drug tested and background checked before we even consider hiring them. Our on staff safety supervisor spends time monitoring both classroom and behind the wheel performance and provides training to assure our staff is the strongest in the state.
· What does your curriculum cover?
o All-Star Driver covers the topics that are relevant to today’s driver. Distracted driving, passenger riding, road rage and graduated licensing laws are just a few of the things that are covered. The state mandated 2-hour parent class is also included and fully prepares students to be the at home driving instructor.
· Is your administrative staff easily accessible?
o Our friendly, knowledgeable staff is available by telephone or e-mail. Additionally, every enrolled student gains access to a web portal where they cn see their schedule, schedule make-ups, pay bills and so much more!
· Where do students go during driving lessons?
o Our instructors do not have fixed routes. We are well aware that new drivers don’t just drive to one place! We take our students on different routes so they can get used to ‘real life’ driving experience. And once the student is ready – we head for the highway, another very important skill that should be mastered with a licensed instructor in the passenger seat.
· Do students have lessons during adverse conditions?
o YES! Sooner or later your child is going to have to drive in the rain and snow. Why not have them learn with the security of a trained professional in a dual brake car sitting next to them? We will teach them the proper techniques for staying safe during various conditions. Just like driving in inclement weather, we feel that students need experience driving after dark as well as in daylight hours.
· When are you available for driving lessons? Is it only during business hours?
o No! We offer driving 7 days a week and offer lessons from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
· How often are vehicles inspected? Maintained?
o Our vehicles are inspected before and after every road lesson. Any defects are immediately noted and the car is taken out of service until it is repaired. Our cars are serviced by a certified mechanic every 3,000 miles.
